Estelle was born Jan. 23, 1927, in Clay County, to Hubert and Blanche Bullerdick. She graduated in 1945 from Cory High School. She was married to Herman Logsdon Aug. 14, 1946, and lived in the Cory area on their dairy and grain farm. Mom was a devoted farmer's wife who worked side by side with dad. Due to dad's bad health, they retired and moved to Winter Haven, Fla., and returned back to Brazil to be with their children. Mom was known for her great love of her family and her Red Velvet cakes.
Estelle was preceded in death by her husband Herman, her parents, and her beloved dog Suzie Jane.
Surviving are her children Debbie Grigsby (Steve), Brazil, Randy Logsdon (Melody), Valparaiso and Vicki Gill, Indianapolis, grandchildren Holly Bell (Bryan) Matt Grigsby, Ashley Swearingen (Brison), Jason Logsdon and Valerie Logsdon and three great-grandchildren Michael Doan, and Brody and Bailey Bell.
Services will be held at Lawson-Miller Chapel, Brazil, Monday, April 25, 2011, at 1 p.m., with Pastor Bob Muncie officiating. Burial will follow at Clearview Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home Monday, from 10:30 a.m., until time of services. It is requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Vista Care Hospice Vistacare Foundation 3401 S 4th St., Terre Haute, Ind., 47802-5501.
