The boil order, which had been issued for Brazil Water customers south of Pinckley Street, was lifted at 3 p.m., Tuesday.
The order was put in place April 21, due to a leak in an 8-inch water line near the tennis courts in Forest Park.
Officials had been working on a leak in a 2-inch water line in the area when crews accidentally hit the larger line.
Per state health protocols, officials are required to issue a boil order when water pressure falls below 20 psi and three Bac T samples must be sent to the Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM) on at least two consecutive business days following a leak to ensure no contamination has occurred.
The Brazil Water Department sent the samples Sunday and Monday, and IDEM confirmed the safety of the water Tuesday afternoon.
