Humane Society sets up shot clinic for May 7

Thursday, April 28, 2011

The Clay County Humane Society will conduct a Pet Shot Clinic from 1-4 p.m., Saturday, May 7 and 14, at the Forest Park Pavilion.

All shots are $10 each.

Three shots available for dogs include the canine 5-in-1 vaccine, Bortella and Rabies.

Event organizers recently told The Brazil Times, that due to high costs and a lack of public interest in recent years, the dog vaccine for Lyme Disease will not be available during this clinic.

The three shots for cats include the feline 3-in-1 vaccine, feline leukemia and Rabies vaccine.

Dr. Ken Cox will be the attending veterinarian during the May 7 clinic, while Dr. Marvin G. Shew will be the veterinarian May 14.

Pet owners are urged to ensure the safety of their pets by taking the precaution of restraining their animals during the clinic with a leash or inside a carrier.
