The Northview 'B' baseball team earned a walk-off victory against visiting Terre Haute North, claiming a 1-0 win versus the Patriots.
After struggling somewhat in his last pitching outing against Terre Haute South, Coleman Craig was rock solid for the Knights, allowing just two hits in pitching the shutout. The junior gave up just one walk and struck out five Patriot batters.
Terre Haute North hurler Chris Gonzaeles was nearly as good, matching Craig inning-for-inning until the bottom of the fifth inning.
Gonzales was able to retire the first two batters of the inning before Tanner Glenn drew a walk and Craig came to the plate and smacked a single. Brock Smith followed with an RBI single that brought home the game-winning run.
Bryant Pestoff had a single for the Knights, Craig had two hits and Smith added the game-winning base hit.
The victory improves the Knights to 8-3 overall this season heading into a Monday battle against Sullivan beginning at 5 p.m.
