Dermatologist offering free cancer screens

Friday, May 6, 2011

GREENCASTLE -- Dr. Christopher Bohyer with Dermatology, Inc., will conduct free skin cancer screens at Putnam County Hospital Monday, May 16.

The screen is a bi-annual event that is sponsored by the Putnam County Hospital Cancer Center.

"Early detection is the key to treating melanoma," LPN Lou Fordice said.

"We offer the free screen to encourage more people to take an interest in their health and to protect themselves from cancer."

The screen will be conducted by appointment only. To schedule a screen, call the Cancer Center at 1-765-655-2581.

The screens will take place from 3-5 p.m., Monday, in the First Floor Outpatient Specialty Clinic at the hospital.
