Kathy Ann Cox-Price, 53, Brazil, passed away May 3, 2011, with her family by her side following a valiant battle with breast cancer.

She was born Jan. 22, 1958, in Brazil, the daughter of Robert Cox and Mary (Williams) Sanders. Kathy worked for Head Start as well as the LEAAP Center as a homebase teacher. Kathy's heart for children had shown brightest as she spent most of her life working as a foster mother to many "kids" in the Brazil area. Kathy had volunteered her time with her church's food pantry and was involved in their drama team. She had also served on the board of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and was currently serving on the board of directors for the Vigo County Conservation Club.

Kathy is a member of the Moose Lodge No. 1009, American Legion Post 2, the Vigo County Conservation Club, as well as the Church of the Living Christ, Harmony.

She is survived by her fiancÚ Ed McCall, daughter Jane Price, her mother Mary Sanders and stepfather Max, her father Robert Cox, grandchildren Cherokee and Lee Gregory and Adahy Price, all of Brazil, siblings Patty Waller, Bob (Vickie) Cox, Pam (Charlie) McCelland, Steve Cox, Connie (Rob) McCelland, stepsiblings Sally, Martha, Danny Batchelor, as well as several extended family and friends.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, May 14, 2011, at The Church of the Living Christ, Harmony, 1 p.m. Visitation will be from 11 a.m., until the time of service. A dinner will follow at The Church of the Living Christ, Harmony. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, PO Box 6069 Dept. 95, Indianapolis, Ind., 46206.
