Knights no-hit 'Cats in WIC skirmish

Taylor Carter and Sarah Phillips combined to no-hit the visiting South Vermillion Wildcats as the Knights claimed a 10-0 win in six innings to improve to 5-0 overall in the WIC.

Carter struck out five over four innings and Phillips came in to pitch the final two innings of the win.

Alyssa Conrad had a hit, drove in two runs and scored once and Carter had an RBI and was 2-for-4 at the plate. Lauren Webster was 1-for-2 with three runs scored and had a double with an RBI. Samantha Montague was 2-for-3 with a walk in the victory.

The Knights improve to 15-2 overall and host Class A No. 13 North Central this evening at 5 p.m.
