CLOVERDALE -- Clay City's Kole Smith inked his name into the school's baseball record books on Tuesday night, blasting a pair of grand slams and tying the record for RBI's in a game with 10 as the Eels drilled Cloverdale, 18-3.
Smith was 3-for-5 in the game and tied the mark set in 2009 by Kyler Rhodes in a game at Bloomfield.

Harbour had three RBI in the win, Zack Boggs had two hits with a double and an RBI, Ben Denker was 2-for-4 at the plate and Mason Persinger drove in a run with a pair of hits. Tanner Persinger was 2-for-3 and Wyatt Gard also had an RBI.
The Eels held a 6-1 lead heading into the fifth inning where they tallied 12 runs in the frame to put the game out of reach.
Jones got the win with eight strikeouts and improved to 5-1 overall this season. The Eels are now 6-6 overall and host Sullivan this evening at 5 p.m.
