Troopers arrested the man without incident at 12:30 p.m., Thursday, at the home of his mother in Roachdale, Ind.
Jonathon Day, 34, Roachdale, was arrested on a Putnam Circuit Court Warrant for Criminal Recklessness, a class C felony, Criminal Confinement, a class B felony, and Domestic Battery, a class A misdemeanor.
ISP Trooper Mike Wood initiated the investigation after being contacted by the Indiana Department of Child Services, Putnam County, to assist them with allegations of domestic issues involving a handgun at the home of Jonathon Day in Roachdale.
Putnam County DCS received a tip that there were allegedly children in the home at the time of the incident and requested help from the Putnamville Post.
During the investigation, Wood developed information alleging Day became enraged at his wife over marital issues, made aggressive physical contact with her, held her in the home against her will and discharged a firearm in a very close vicinity to her.
The incident was calmed minutes later by Day's mother, who lives next door.
The domestic situation allegedly began at approximately 3 a.m., Sunday, May 8.
Troopers were not contacted until the early evening hours of May 11.
