Annual Saline City Truck Pull slated for June 4

SALINE CITY -- The annual Saline City National Truck Pull and Swap Meet will take place Saturday, June 4.

Pulling is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m., with weigh-ins set from 2-5 p.m.

All vehicles will be inspected for specific classes.

The event will feature ITPA Super Stock 4-wheel drive and ITPA Pro Stock 4-wheel drive. Classes include Stock 4-wheel drive 6,500-pound class and O.E.M. Fuel Injected Stock 6,800-pound class; Semi-truck 20,000-pound class; Altered 4-wheel drive 6,500-pound class; Street diesel truck 8,000-pound class; and Open diesel truck 8,000-pound class.

The top three in each class will be awarded.

New to the event is the Swap Meet. Those attending are encouraged to bring new and used parts to the event for sale or trade.

Cost to enter a truck is $20, per hook (80 percent payback). No checks will be accepted. For more information about the pulling rules, call Greg Nicoson at 812-249-5903.

Cost to attend the event is $8. Children 10-under will be admitted free.

There are a limited amount of bleachers so attendees are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs.

Sponsors for the event include Souder Power Washing, Inc., Bane Equipment, Howesville Farm Services, VP Racing Fuels, MacAllister Machinery and Poor Boys Salvage Towing and Tree Service.

Are they going to have the horse pull this year? Just wondering because if not I wont bother going. Not criticizing, just saying thats the reason I always went and was really disappointed last year.
