Times Staff Report

The Northview 'B' and 'C' baseball teams secured wins against visiting West Vigo on Wednesday evening led by some outstanding pitching performances.

The Knights' junior varsity squad got an incredible 17-strikeout effort from Coleman Craig, who went all seven innings, allowing just one hit in a 3-2 victory against the Vikings.

Despite his dominance, Craig still needed his teammates to come through in the final inning as West Vigo scored twice in the top of the seventh to take a 2-0 lead. The Knights however got some walk off magic of their own, tallying three runs to pick up the win.

Craig was perfect for 6 1/3 innings and allowed just one hit and two runs as the JV squad improved to 13-3.

Devin Clark was 2-for-3 with a double and Conner Ganly, Craig Peters and Dan Reberger each had doubles in the victory.

In the 'C' game, Northview's offense got started early, scoring in all four innings of a 14-3 win.

Nate Newton went 4 1/3 innings, allowing five hits, three runs and striking out seven. Kyle Moore came in to finish off the victory, getting the final two outs.

Trevor Hetrick was 3-for-4 with a double, Austin Butts was 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles, Ethan Whitson was 2-for-2, Tanner Wilson was 2-for-2 and Newton had a two-base hit.
