On Friday, May 13, the Brazil Last Man's Club No. 5 conducted its meeting and dinner as it always does when a Friday the 13th comes around.
All remaining eight members were present. Five members are deceased.
The club consists of only 13 members and no additions may be made.
The club members are Korean Veterans and follow the rituals of the first club organized after World War I.
Past projects included the placement of a "Time Capsule" on the Clay County Courthouse lawn and a display case at the Clay County Historical Museum.
The average age of the members is 81 and they were delighted to see three members travel from Florida and St. Louis to be present.
The share a fellowship so rare.
