BOWLING GREEN -- One person was transported via AirEvac from the scene of an accident Sunday.
According to information provided by Indiana State Police, at approximately 3:20 p.m., Sunday, officials were notified of the accident, approximately one-half mile east of Bowling Green on State Road 46.
According to information provided by ISP, Jeanette Marchant, 78, Bloomington, was driving eastbound on SR 46 in a 1997 Mercedes, when she allegedly drove left of the center lane, striking 1995 Honda driven by Natasha Ann Eccles, 29, Ellettsville.
Marchant complained of injuries to her back and neck and was transported to St. Vincent Clay Hospital, while Eccles suffered lacerations and contusions to her head and face. She was transported to Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis.
An occupant in Marchant's vehicle, Carrie D. Merchant, 29, Bloomington, complained of back injuries and was also transported to Methodist Hospital.
The accident, according to ISP officials, is still under investigation.
