Awning installation

Wednesday, May 25, 2011

Workers with Cool Planet Awning Company, Indianapolis, heft up half of the new awning for the Forest Park Bandshell Wednesday afternoon. A $10,000 grant was acquired, with the assistance of Brazil Concert Band Director Matt Huber, the Brazil Parks Board, Clay Community Parks Association Board member Wilmadean Schepper and the late Jim Dressler, which was used for the purchase of the awning. I wonder if it was money wasted after last nights storm that ripped through here.

$10,000.00 for some fabric stretched over an easily assembled (probably aluminum)frame!?

The frame should be made of platinum and the fabric spun with real gold!!

I look at that and see $2,000.00 tops....

As a member of the Clay Community Park Board, I wish we would have known about this person(MFurryasse) who could have put this awning up for $2000.00. We would have been more than happy to have them do it!
