She was born Sept. 12, 1925, in Brazil, as the daughter of Rev. Harley and Bertha Mae Wright Holley.
She married Harry L. McKinney Jan. 25, 1942.
She was a homemaker and a loving mother and grandmother -- her family always came first.
She was employed at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology as a housekeeper until her retirement in 1978. She also worked at the Laundromat at South 25th Street and in Seelyville.
She was a member and treasurer of the Seelyville Wesleyan Church for 40 years until it closed. She then became a member of the Jackson Street Wesleyan Church in Brazil.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 61 years Harry, son Harry Leon McKinney Jr., great-great-grandson Justin Judson, grandson Matthew Graham, sister Judy Lucille Turner, and brothers Samuel L., Harley T., and Donald Holley.
She is survived by son Mark McKinney (Rita), daughters Ethelmae Graham (Jesse), Carolyn Robison (Larry), Sheralyn "Sherri" Stewart, Kathleen Fagg, and Linda Graham (Tom), daughter-in-law Sharon Crabb, sisters-in-law Pearl Holley, Maude Dickison, Sarah Schnurple and Vera Holley, brother-in-law George McKinney (Kate), 21 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren, 36 great-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and other extended family.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m., Thursday, June 2, at Moore Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Friday, at the funeral home, with Revs. Tommy Norris and Estel Stewart officiating. Burial will follow at Summit Lawn Cemetery.
