Thursday, June 2, 2011

WEST TERRE HAUTE -- Wabash Valley children will have an opportunity to link being outside in summer's sunshine and unique educational opportunities by registering for Summer Day Camp in June at White Violet Center for Eco-Justice at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods.

Youngsters will be able to assist in planting a garden, visit with alpacas, create a worm farm, explore the world of bees, study nature trails and participate in numerous games.

Children who are in third-, fourth- or fifth-grades (including those entering third-grade and who completed fifth-grade) may attend.

They will need to bring a sack lunch each day.

Drinks and morning/afternoon snacks will be provided. Enrollment is limited to 20 students.

Cost is $100 per child. The registration deadline is June 8.

Participants may choose from June 13-17, or June 20-24.
