Douglas Edward Willoughby, 52, Marshall, Ill., formerly of Terre Haute, passed away at 10:48 a.m., June 4, 2011, at Union Hospital.
He was born Feb. 7, 1959, in Bremerhaven, Germany, to Dale E. and Mary Jane (Wrin) Willoughby.
Doug was a fabricator at Kelly Metal Products in Terre Haute. He graduated from Schulte High School with the class of 1977, where he played football, basketball and baseball.
Doug was an avid St. Louis Cardinals and Washington Redskins fan.
Doug was preceded in death by his father Dale Willoughby, brother Brent Willoughby, grandparents Ed and Bessie (Waldrop) Willoughby, and Hank and Gert (Neimeyer) Wrin.
He is survived by his mother Mary Jane Willoughby, sisters Jane Garland (Scott), Jean Newnum (Mike), and brother Mark Willoughby, nieces Shannon Land (Courtney), Sydnee Willoughby, Erin Albert (Travis), and Lisa Willoughby, nephews Mitchell Willoughby (Tonya), John Garland, and Josh Willoughby, great-nieces Lexi Willoughby, Charlotte Land, and Chloe Willoughby, great-nephews Henry Land, Dakoda Willoughby and Colt Albert, and stepson Brian Bush.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, June 8, 2011, at 10:30 a.m., at Annunciation Catholic Church, 19 N. Alabama St., Brazil, with visitation one hour prior.
Entombment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Terre Haute.
