The Clay Community (CCS) school board will meet 7:30 p.m., Thursday, in the North Clay Middle School Media Center, 3450 West State Road 340, Brazil.
Items on the agenda include a second reading of Board Policy 1621 revision to move personnel items to the consent agenda.
The board will further discuss the transportation office options and try to find a permanent solution.
Business Manager Mike Fowler will request funds to upgrade the library loan software program. The current program is more than 15-years-old, and Fowler said he wants to replace the system with the new The Library Corporation (TLC) software program.
TLC helps with record keeping, checking out books and provides students with comprehensive information regarding their possible book selections.
For example, Fowler told The Brazil Times, a kindergarten student, who may or may not be able to fluently read yet, can see the cover of each book and make their selection based on what they see.
In addition, this program also provides sentences, abstracts and the first few pages of a book to aid older students with research.
Other items on the agenda include:
* Food service bids,
* Handbook changes for athletes and coaches,
* Rainy Day Fund transfer for Pre-School Special Education and
* A Northview High School Extra-Curricular Activities payment.
School board meetings are open to the public.
