Mary R. Bridgewaters, 69, Brazil, passed away at Regional Hospital June 7, following a long illness.
Mary was born on Nov. 8, 1941, the daughter of Bill and Dorothy Taylor in Oxford, Mich. She graduated from Pontiac High School. Following high school, Mary went to work as the cook at Pine Knob Ski Lodge in Pontiac, Mich. She continued her life as a cook for many different restaurants. Mary married Raymond Bridgewaters on Oct. 15, 1980, upon settling in Brazil.
Mary enjoyed cooking, reading and cross-stitching.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers Robert Taylor, Richard "Butch" Taylor, Roy Taylor and her sister Esther (Ashmead) Taylor, all of Michigan.
Mary has left behind her sons Thomas Tedder (Darla), Robert Bridgewaters (Nedra), daughter Karen Nischan (John), grandchildren Robin Glidden (Aaron), Tracy Jones, Scott Tedder, Megan Nischan, Cole Bridgewaters, Braden Bridgewaters, Taylor Bridgewaters, all of Brazil, brothers John Taylor (Katherine), Donald Taylor (Pat), James Taylor (Marsha), all of Michigan, Dennis Junior Taylor (Kelly), Arizona, sister Kay Taylor, Michigan, six great-grandchildren and several extended stepchildren, step-grandchildren, and step-great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be planned at a later date for family and friends to gather and rejoice in her memory. Her care has been entrusted in French Funeral Home.
