The Brazil Community Patriotic Choir will have practices Thursday nights beginning at 7 p.m., at Bee Ridge Church.
Sam Glover will serve as director.
All who can sing and love the country are invited to join the choir.
The group will perform at Forest Park July 4 during the Rotary Club of Brazil's annual Fourth of July Celebration.
The City of Brazil is setting up an e-mail notification system for water-related happenings, such as boil orders.

The Clay County Literacy Coalition will conduct free private tutoring sessions at the Brazil Public Library for adults who wish to improve their reading skills or would like to learn to read.
Pamphlets are currently available at various locations around the city.
Those wishing to take part in the sessions are urged to return the pamphlet to the Clay County Literacy Coalition, 204 N. Walnut St., Brazil, Ind., 47834.

The Clay City Calico Quilters will sponsor their 24th show, along with the Clay City Lion's Club Pottery Festival Saturday and Sunday.
The show will be set up in the R.E.I.N. Center Community Library, 700 Main St. Show hours at 9 a.m.-6 p.m., Saturday, and 11 a.m.-5 p.m., Sunday.
The show will open before other festival activities today, from 6-8:30 p.m.
Admission is $2.

Support Habitat for Humanity of Clay County today, with a purchase from Pizza Hut in Brazil.
On the second Friday of each month, from 4-8 p.m., 20 percent of qualifying purchases will be donated to Habitat for Humanity of Clay County. Those wishing to donate should mention Habitat for Humanity when paying the bill.
Clay County Animal Rescue will conduct a yard sale/adoption event today, Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
All proceeds from the event will go toward the care of the animals.
During the four days of the yard sale, everything possible wanted for a pet or a new pet will be available, including spay/neuter and shots.
There will be more than enough of small breeds and puppies at the event to make someone a great pet.

The Clay County Senior Citizen's Center, 120 S. Franklin St., Brazil, will host Mel's Karaoke today, from 6-9 p.m.
Food will be sold, but the program is free to attend.
The Reelsville Volunteer Fire Department will conduct its monthly breakfast from 7-11 a.m., Saturday.
St. Vincent Clay Hospital will offer free cervical cancer screenings Saturday, from 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
Screenings are for women 18-over.

The American Legion Riders will host the annual White Knuckle Ride Saturday.
The ride starts and ends at the Veterans of Foreign Wars No. 1127, 303 S. Depot St., Brazil.
Registration is 10 a.m.-noon, with the last bike expected to return to the V.F.W. post around 5 p.m.
Riders will leave Brazil and circle through Rosedale, Rockville, Greencastle and Spencer before returning to the Brazil area.
The registration fees for the ride are $20 per person and $30 per rider with a passenger.
