Bill and Norma Megenhardt, Berthoud, Colo. celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on December 27, 2010.

Norma is the former Miss Neiswinger. She married her high school sweetheart Bill Megenhardt in 1960 in Patricksburg.

In 1973, they moved from Coal City, to Longmont, Colo. where Bill worked for Power Equipment Co., Longmont Foods, and later Flatiron Structures.

Norma worked for the St. Vrain Valley School District and Leanin Tree.

In 1996, they moved to Berthoud and in 2006 Bill retired from Flatiron Construction Corp. after 26 years of service. In 2007, he worked part time for the St. Vrain School District as a bus driver and Norma Worked for Kohls.

Both are retired now and enjoy spending time with family and friends, going to grand kids sporting events and doing some traveling.

They are going on an Alaskan cruise in July with some of their family.

They have three children Bill and wife Kristie, Coal City; Darla Perkins and husband Mike, Longmont, Colo.; and Dan and wife Paula, Berthoud Colo., and seven grandchildren, Brandon, Brock, Kelsie, Ashley, Tyler, Anna and Jessa; and one great grandchild Jarrett.

Their children and grandchildren will host an open house in their honor on Saturday, June 18, from 2-5 p.m., at the Clay City firehouse.
