Carmen, 7, the daughter of Colleen and Tony Schleppy, suffered third- and fourth-degree burns on close to 60 percent of her body during an accident May 2.
Hunter's Lounge will conduct a hog roast, with macaroni and potato salads, baked beans, green beans, coffee and tea. Pie and cake will also be available.
Entertainment will be provided by Terry Chew and DJ music.
In addition, raffles will take place and there will also be a white elephant sell.
All donations of money or items for the benefit will be greatly appreciated.
While at home, Carmen and her mother were watching television by the living room fireplace when Carmen's skirt caught fire.
She also had leggings on at the time. The outfit she was wearing melted onto her body.
Since the incident, Carmen has been at Riley Children's Hospital, Indianapolis, receiving treatment, and has had up to 10 surgeries.
Doctors speculated she may need continued treatment for several months.
Carmen has three brothers and sisters.
An account has been established at Fifth Third Bank, 637 E. National Ave., Brazil, where residents, family and friends may make donations to assist the family with the financial burdens associated with Carmen's stay at Riley. The account was named, "Colleen Schleppy for the Benefit of Carmen."
There is also a Facebook group supporters may join to encourage the family and pray for Carmen, called "Pray for Carmen Schleppy."
