Mayberry Classic planned

CLAY CITY -- The sixth Mayberry Classic has been scheduled for Saturday, July 9, at 8:30 a.m., at Goshorn Park.

The event will include a 5K run and a 5K walk for ages 6-above. There will also be a 1-mile fun run/walk for all who want to participate.

Registration forms are available at the Clay City Center for Family Medicine, 315 Lankford St., Clay City, or may be accessed from the Richard Lugar Center for Rural Health at www.lugarcenter.org.

Pre-registration forms may be mailed to Clay City Center for Family Medicine at PO Box 96, Clay City, Ind., 47841.

Forms may also be faxed to the center at 812-939-3414.

The registration fee for the 5K is $15 and the 1-mile is $10. There will be an additional $5 charge in each category for those who did not pre-register.

Pre-registration is encouraged and must be submitted by June 24 to guarantee a T-shirt.

Same-day registration (additional $5) will be at the park at 7:30 a.m., and the race will start at 8:30.
