Bill Jones' memory will live on at Forest Park in more ways than one.

The former Brazil resident, who died in November 2010, was honored Tuesday by the Forest Park Golf Course as Forest Park Men's Club President Bill Lovett and Golf Pro Mark Rogers presented his family with a plaque that will be strategically placed on the course.

Jones' daughter, Sue, and her husband Junior Goshen, were on hand to receive the plaque.

Jones is already synonymous with the course.

The Bill Jones Senior Scramble, an annual golf tournament, is named after him.

"Bill was a valued member of the Forest Park Golf Course community and donated to every senior event the past several years," Rogers said.

The plaque states, "In memory of William Morlan Jones, September 3, 1921-November 30, 2010."

Rogers said the plaque may be placed at the shelter near hole No. 5.
