Rita was born Nov. 2, 1942, to Russell and Rosemary (Stewart) Krider, in Brazil.
Rita worked for IBM for 29 and one-half years before retiring. She enjoyed traveling, especially to old towns, historic sites and the ocean. Rita's hobbies were reading, puzzles and crocheting.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Robert C. Harpold, daughter Teresa (Arthur) O'Connor, son Robert (Pam) Harpold, grandsons Martin Delarosa, Wyatt O'Connor, Jake O'Connor, Daniel Jenning and Steven Jenning, brothers Russell (Pat) Krider, and Richard (Judy) Krider, sister Rosella Joyce (Joe) Payne, and several nieces and nephews.
Rita was preceded in death by her parents.
Rita lived in Campbell, Calif., for 32 years prior to moving to Shelton, Wash., in 1997.
A memorial service will take place at Shelton Christian Church, 105 E. Arcadia Ave., Shelton, Wash., Saturday, June 25, at 11 a.m., by minister Bruce Thacker. Interment will be at Shelton Memorial Park.
