A Greencastle man turned himself in to local authorities after an arrest warrant was issued for his involvement in a recent domestic dispute.

Stoney James Pittsenbarger, 31, is currently incarcerated at the Clay County Justice Center on a $7,000 cash bond, with no 10-percent allowed, while awaiting formal court proceedings in his case.

On June 12, according to court documents, the Clay County Prosecutor's Office provided Clay Circuit Court documentation from a domestic dispute investigation by the Brazil City Police Department. Four days later, a warrant was issued for one class D felony Strangulation, one class A misdemeanor Domestic Battery and one class B misdemeanor Criminal Mischief for Pittsenbarger.

Although details are limited to protect the integrity of the case, the probable cause affidavit includes allegations Pittsenbarger, in a rude insolent or angry manner, did recklessly, knowingly or intentionally obstructed the nose and/or mouth to impede the breathing of the unidentified female victim; caused injury by grabbing, pushing or striking the victim and broke her cell phone during the incident.

Jail officials confirmed to The Brazil Times Pittsenbarger turned himself in at the facility without incident Thursday morning.
