Staunton First Christian Church

Sunday School begins at 9:30 a.m., with worship service following at 10:30. Doug Parkey is the minister.

If you need transportation to morning worship service, please phone the church office at 446-3211.

The bus is wheelchair equipped.

Children's Church and Wee Worship meet at 10:30 a.m., in the Educational Building.

The annual Congregational Meeting will take place this Sunday after morning worship service.

Sunday evening service begins at 6 p.m. Wednesday evening Bible Study and Prayer Group meet at 7 p.m.

A reminder that the dates for this year's Vacation Bible School are July 10-14.

This year's theme is "Big Apple Adventure: Where Faith and Life Connect."

Staunton United Methodist Church

Our fundraising chicken and noodle dinner will take place at the Staunton Community Center from 4-7 p.m., Friday, July 1.

In addition to chicken and noodles, the menu will include mashed potatoes, green beans, applesauce, dessert, and coffee, iced team or lemonade, all for only $8 for adults and $5 for children 12-under.

Plan to attend for a great home-cooked meal.

Sunday School is at 9:30 a.m., with church service following at 10:30. Scott Aselage is our Pastor and Glenna Simons is our pianist.

Remember that the Community Food Pantry is open in the church basement from 3-5 p.m., on the last Wednesday afternoon of each month.

The next Food Pantry day will be Wednesday, June 29.

Anyone in the Staunton area in need of help is welcome. We appreciate the support of all the churches, schools, civic organizations and individuals who help make this needed outreach a success.

Please keep praying for everyone who is battling illness, as well as all the brave men and women of our military and their families. Also remember in prayer all the folks in nursing homes and hospitals and those who have lost loved ones. Go out of your way to be kind to someone and pray for everyone.
