The Alpha Omega Chapter of Kappa Kappa Kappa met at 6 p.m., June 6, 2011, at First United Methodist Church. Hostesses for this month were Roberta Weliever and Charlotte Pickett. Mandy Loughmiller and Heather Campbell were initiated into Tri Kappa prior to the official meeting starting. President Larissa Goshen called the meeting to order, followed by the opening song and verse. Christy Casassa took roll call and read the minutes of the May meeting. Mandy Slater gave the treasurer's report:

Jamie Bell read correspondence. Olivia Oehler and Lindsay Thomas both sent thank-you notes for the subway gift cards they received from Tri Kappa. Jamie shared with members a certificate that Tri Kappa received for their donation of pop tabs to Riley Children's Foundation. Martha Maurer sent a letter asking for inactive status at this time along with money for her fines owed. Roberta Weliever made a motion to grant Martha inactive status and Nicole Keller seconded it.

Standing Committee reports were given next. Jamie Bell handed out Little Perks. Amy Jones, Roberta Weliever, and Mandy Slater celebrated June birthdays. April Lovett, Cindy Watts, and Michele Oehler celebrated June Anniversaries. Sara Schultz and Mandy Loughmiller both celebrated July birthdays. Roberta Weliever and Sara Schultz both received the Maurizio's gift certificates. Those who celebrated anniversaries chose a candy bar.

Project committee reports were given next. Scholarships were discussed. Meganne Holley, Mary Yelton, and Christy Casassa were on the scholarship committee this year. Two students from Northview High School and one student from Clay City High school received scholarships from Tri Kappa. Aaron Kinser was the Clay City recipient. Emily Durcholz and Darcy Bass were the Northview High School recipients.

New business was discussed. Preference sheets were to be turned in at this meeting. Dues will be due in August and will have to be paid by the end of September. New officers for next year were installed. Officers include President, Meganne Holley; Vice President, Megan Baylor; Treasurer, Kristen Beasley; Recording Secretary, Nicole Keller; and Corresponding Secretary, Vanessa Paullus. President Larissa Goshen gave her outgoing officers a gift and Vice President Meganne Holley gave Larissa a gift from Tri Kappa members as well.

The closing verse was recited and the meeting was adjourned at 8:10. The next meeting will be held on Aug. 1, 2011 with location to be announced.

Tri County Club

The Tri-County Club me on Wednesday, June 15 with Rhonda Tincher and Alma Haltsom as co-hostesses.

A delicious meal featuring submarine sandwiches was enjoyed by all.

The surprise package was won by Elizabeth.

Roll call was answered by giving the name of our favorite hymn. There were 15 members and one guest present.

The reading was given by Rhonda, "I am an American Flag."

The card committee sent 19 cards.

One of our members received a secret sister gift for their birthday, Lucy Strauch.

Our meeting was closed by repeating the Lord's Prayer.

We had a purse auction.

The social hour was spent playing bingo with Shelly Blythe winning coverall.

Our next meeting will be at the Zion Church, in the basement on July 13.
