The following is the schedule for the 76th Rotary Club of Brazil 4th of July Celebration, as provided to The Brazil Times:

Thursday, June 30

6 p.m. -- Midway opens ($15 pay one price hand-stamp or single tickets),

4-7:30 p.m. -- Fish fry in the Pavilion (benefits Northview and Clay City high school bands. See band member for tickets). Cost is $7.50 for adults in advance or $8 at the door. Children 12-under are $4.50 in advance or $5.50 at the door,

6:30 and 8 p.m. -- Northview Marching Knights, Color Guard, Cheerleaders and North Clay seventh- and eighth-grade bands/Cadet Corp perform

Friday, July 1

(Local Food Booths Open)

6 p.m. -- Midway opens ($15 pay one price hand-stamp or single tickets),

5:30 p.m. -- Moore's Dance Studio,

7 p.m. -- Toni's Tumbling and Dance Studio

Saturday, July 2

(Local Food Booths Open)

7:30 a.m. -- 5K Walk/Run from YMCA of Clay County

12th Forest Park Golf Course Open Tourney Pro, Am, Senior, Junior and Ladies

3-6 p.m. -- Red/White and Blue Blood Drive. Indiana Blood Center Bloodmobile, Forest Park. Sign up online. Donate at the Rotary Blood Drive: indianablood.org,

3 p.m. -- Midway opens ($15 pay one price hand-stamp or single tickets),

6:30 and 8 p.m. -- Six Figures Band (two shows)

Sunday, July 3

(Local Food Booths Open)

12th Forest Park Golf Course Open Tourney Pro, Am, Senior, Junior and Ladies. Brazil Open winner receives $750. Golf Open Tourney ends Sunday, July 3

3 p.m. -- Midway opens ($15 pay one price hand-stamp or single tickets),

7:30 p.m. -- Brazil Concert Band (patriotic music)

Monday, July 4

(Local Food Booths Open)

2-5 p.m. -- Midway open (limited time. $15 pay one price hand-stamp 2-5 p.m., or single tickets after 5 p.m.),

July 4 Pay One Price Hand Stamp goes up to $18

John Thomas Memorial 36th Sack Races in the Park (2:30 p.m. -- 7-under; 3 p.m. -- 9-under; 3:30 p.m. -- 11-under; 4 p.m. -- 13-under; 4:30 p.m. -- 15-under). Cash prices go to all sack race entrants,

6 p.m. -- Good Feelings Band,

8 p.m. -- Brazil Concert Choir and Children's Choir (directed by Sam Glover),

10 p.m. -- GALA Fireworks Show, sponsored by Rotary Club of Brazil, with music heard on WBOW 102.7-FM,

11 p.m. -- Drawing for $10,000 Grand Price.

those rides are a joke and they do not look safe. i would not let my kids ride them

Went to the Park last night and about 7 of the rides were closed. I was told by one of the people selling tickets that the rides were broken, mechanical problems. What is up with that? They just opened on Tuesday and 7 rides are broken by Thursday?
