Dine with a Doc, a brunch sponsored by Senior Education Ministries, takes place the first Wednesday of each month from 10 a.m.-noon, at the Clay County Senior Citizen's Center, 120 S. Franklin St., Brazil.

The program is free and welcomes local senior citizens who will have the opportunity to hear an educational topic. The program is a community effort of a doctor, a lunch sponsor, the senior citizens, local churches and area businesses. Various community businesses participate by donating door prizes or providing complimentary lunches.

The program was designed to allow seniors to get out of their homes, enjoy fellowship with their peers, extend their available financial resources, promote enhanced living, and educate with the goal of improving their quality of life and providing them with the resources and information to make an informed choice about healthcare.

Charles French, M.D., Community Rural Health Clinic, will be the guest at the center Wednesday, July 6. The complimentary lunch will be provided courtesy of Sycamore Manor. In addition, Meadows Home Health Care will offer a complimentary wellness clinic (blood sugar and blood pressure screening) and a special opportunity for an additional door prize.

For more information regarding the program, call 812-917-4970 or e-mail loriaplin@gmail.com.
