Officials find body

On Tuesday, the Clay County Coroner's Office confirmed the discovery of a dead body in rural Brazil Monday night.

According to officials with the Brazil City Police Department, shortly before midnight Monday, the body of Jackie Patterson, 40, Brazil, was found in a creek in southern Brazil. (Patterson's immediate family has been notified.)

The details about the cause of death, toxicology and exact location Patterson was found are being withheld to protect the integrity of the ongoing death investigation.

Clay County Deputy Coroner Amy Shelton confirmed to The Brazil Times an autopsy was performed Tuesday, but preliminary results are not available at this time.

Shelton confirmed further information regarding the investigation would not be available for at least a few weeks.

so sorry to the family of this young lady. I pray this was not a violent end to a sweet girl's life, we have seen so much of that in Brazil lately and they know the justice system in this are will turn them lose without them spending much time in jail God bless this family and bring them peace through this hard time they are going through Blessings
