Residents of Clay County -- adults youth (including 4-H members and others), or a member of Clay County Extension Homemakers have the chance to exhibit in Open Class at the Clay County 4-H Fair.
In addition, 4-H members residing out of Clay County may exhibit in Clay County's Open Class as well.
The Extension Homemakers Clubs of Clay County are sponsoring the Open Class. Entrants must be 6-years-old or above.
Articles exhibited must have been made since the 2010 Clay County 4-H Fair. Entries are to be brought at the Exhibit Hall, July 14, between 7-9 p.m., or between 9-11:30 a.m., July 15.
There are 50 categories and 220 entries available. Those interested may enter exhibits and share their talents. There will be a category for all exhibits.

Ball Fresh Preserving awards for adult level canning, presented by Ball and Kerr will be available. Categories are fruits, vegetables, pickles and soft spread. Those entering must use Ball jars and Ball lids or Kerr jars and lids and low or no-sugar. In addition, those entering must use Ball Pectin or Ball Liquid.
First- and second-place prizes will be awarded in each category.
