Eva Raab, 89, passed away July 7, 2011, at the Kingston Nursing Center, Conway, S.C., and will be greatly missed by her family.
She was born in Madison, Ind., the daughter of the late Mollie B. and Alonzo Thornton.
Eva spent her adult life living in Brazil, and is preceded in death by her late husband, Forrest Boyd Raab. She had two daughters, the late Linda Kaye Raab and Donna Jean Raab Archer, who resides in Conway, S.C.
In 2001, Eva moved to South Carolina to live with her daughter.
She is from a family of eight children. She has two surviving sisters, Freida Judkins of Madison, Ind., and Vera Pierce, Terre Haute.
She is preceded in death by her other siblings Helen Heilman, Madison, Ind., Pansey Chanley, Corden, Ind., Lydia Jahrries, Cincinnati, Ohio, Dorothy Wainscott, Madison, Ind., and William "Boots" Thornton, Madison, Ind.
Eva has two grandchildren Brandee Archer Fox, Hartsville, S.C., and Thomas Archer II, Cicero, Ind., one great-grandson Gavin Archer, also residing in Cicero, Ind., nieces, nephews and cousins in Indiana.
She will be taken back to Indiana to be buried with her late husband at Croy's Creek Cemetery, Reelsville. May she rest in peace.
