Benjamin Orman Weger

Benjamin Orman Weger received his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis on April 14th.

Weger is the son of Rachel Weger and the late Rex Weger, formerly of Brazil. He is the grandson of Docie Weger and the late Harry Weger of the West Vigo area.

Dr. Weger grew up in Clay County and attended Staunton Elementary and Northview High School, where he was trumpeter for the State Champion Northview Marching Band.

He received his bachelor of science degree from Indiana State University.

Dr. Ben Weger is currently serving his pediatric residency as a Captain in the United States Army at Fort Lewis, Washington.

He and his wife, Christina Bogue, are the parents of two children, Nicholas 11, and Brynley, 10 months.


Trent R. Sims

Air National Guard Airman 1st Class Trent R. Sims graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

He is the son of Randy and Gayle Sims of N. Forest Lane, Brazil, Ind. Sims graduated in 2010 from Northview High School, Brazil.
