Anne was born Oct. 25, 1914, in Seelyville, as the daughter of John and Anna Mehok Butwin. She married Guy Tribble April 28, 1935, at Holy Rosary Rectory in Seelyville. He preceded her in death April 30, 1990. Anne was a devoted Catholic her entire life. She lived her faith in everything she did. She was a member of Annunciation Church in Brazil, active in the Altar & Rosary Society and the Mothers Club. Her first employment was as a housekeeper for families in Terre Haute. During the war, she worked at Quaker Maid, and later cooked for the Sisters at Annunciation School.
She was a wonderful mother and homemaker. She was well known for her sewing, making wedding dresses, baptismal gowns and First Communion dresses for her family. She and her husband loved to travel and camp. They enjoyed several years spending their winters at Campers World in Inverness, Fla. Together, they had a garden where they canned vegetables and made pickles.
She was a charter member of the Navy Mail Service Veterans Association founded by her husband. For many years, she actively helped him plan the reunions across the country. She continued to attend the reunions even going to Branson, Mo., in 2010. She was an avid sports fan, initially a Cardinals fan, but once WGN started broadcasting the Cubs, she found her true calling. When living in Brazil, she enjoyed going to watch her grandchildren march in the award-winning Northview Knights band, and the various sports they participated in. She loved being in Galesburg and watching her grandchildren's band contests, soccer matches, basketball games, and especially baseball games.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Guy Tribble, son-in-law Wayne Froderman, and several brothers and a sister.
She is survived by her children John (Arlene) Tribble, Brazil, Mary Ann Froderman, Brazil, Jim (Judy) Tribble, Brazil, and Jeanne (Brent) Zhorne, Galesburg, Ill., with whom she lived the last eight years, 15 grandchildren, Mark (Pam) Tribble, Peggy Glassco, Brad (Heather) Tribble, Adrienne (Dwight) Davies, Dick (Lori) Froderman, Doug (Melissa) Froderman, John (Tonja) Froderman, Theresa (Michael Ferrara) Tribble, Philip (Alison) Tribble, Matthew Tribble, Mary Beth Tribble, Anna (Joel) Kolander, and Alex, Maria, and Mark Zhorne, 22 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
