Our Vacation Bible School will be a one-day event Saturday, July 23. Children will attend from 11 a.m.-3 p.m., then we will welcome their families for games, singing, pictures and refreshments from 3 p.m., until approximately 5 p.m. We are hoping that this format will get everyone involved in a family activity that can be enjoyed by all.

This Sunday, we will be celebrating Sunday morning worship service with a number of other area United Methodist Churches at the Clay County Fairgrounds. The service will begin at 10 a.m. Everyone is invited.

Happy birthday to Janet Paullus July 22.

Remember that the Community Food Pantry is open in the church's basement from 3-5 p.m., on the last Wednesday afternoon of each month. The next Food Pantry day will be Wednesday, July 27.

Anyone in the Staunton area in need of help is welcome. We appreciate the support of all the churches, schools, civic organizations and individuals who help make this needed outreach a success.

Please keep praying for everyone who is battling illness, as well as all the brave men and women of our military and their families. Also remember in prayer all the folks in nursing homes and hospitals and those who have lost loved ones. Go out of your way to be kind to someone and pray for everyone.
