The annual Clay County Chamber of Commerce Golf Scramble will take place Friday, Sept. 16, at Forest Park Golf Course.

Lunch is planned for noon with a 1 p.m., shotgun start.

All proceeds from the tournament will go to benefit the Chamber of Commerce.

Several prizes will be handed out during the tourney. In low gross, the first-place team will receive a $400 gift certificate, while second-place will earn a $200 gift certificate.

In Peoria Handicap, the first-place team will receive a $400 gift certificate and the second-place will earn a $200 gift certificate.

In addition, Bob Bowen Ford will hand out $10,000 for a hole-in-one.

The tournament will follow a four-person scramble format. The team handicap minimum is 25.

Singles, doubles and triples may register -- as well as four-person teams. Teams will be created at the tourney if needed.

If inclement weather forces the golf course to close, the registrants will be given a rain check for one round of golf (cart included) for future use. Prizes will then be raffled and no refunds will be given.

Cost is $50 per person or $200 per team. Those interested in participating should send registration and checks to Clay County Chamber of Commerce, 535 E. National Ave., Brazil, Ind., 47834.

Cost for hole sponsorship is $100, which is tax deductible.
