The Brazil Township Trustee recently announced that taxpayers of Brazil Township the proper legal officers will hold a budget planning meeting at the Township Trustee's Office at 4 p.m., Friday.
Taxpayers appearing at the meeting will be allowed to speak.
The Moose Lodge No. 780, 225 S. Depot St., Brazil, will conduct a Kids Day at the facility Saturday, from 1-3 p.m.
The Brazil City fire and police departments will be at the event, along with the city's K9 unit and Sparky the firedog. Fingerprint ID checking will also be available.

The Ashboro United Methodist Church, located on State Road 59 south of Brazil, will conduct its 34th Ice Cream Social Saturday, beginning at 5 p.m.
Barbecue sandwiches, hot dogs, nachos and cheese, pies and cakes will also be available for purchase.
The homemade ice cream is made with pasteurized eggs.

A Native American Artifact Show will take place from 8 a.m.-2:30 p.m., at the Sullivan County 4-H Building, Sunday.

Dine With A Doc
Senior Education Ministries, Inc., has scheduled its Dine With A Doc brunch for Wednesday, Aug. 3, from 10 a.m.-noon, at the Clay County Senior Citizen's Center, 120 S. Franklin St., Brazil.
Dine With A Doc is a free program that welcomes the senior public to get to hear an educational topic while enjoying a complimentary lunch.
The featured speaker at the Aug. 3 meeting will be Dr. Arvin Uppal MD, who specializes in Otolaryngology.
Christmas In The Park will host a free swim event Wednesday, Aug. 3. The event is open to the public and will take place at the Forest Park Pool, from 6-8 p.m.
Free soft drinks and popcorn will be available.
The second "Halie's Rainbow" Halie Hite Memorial Scholarship Golf Tournament will take place Saturday, Aug. 6, at the Oak Ridge Golf Course.
Two shotgun starts have been planned.
Prizes will be awarded.
