The Moose Lodge No. 780, 225 S. Depot St., Brazil, will conduct a Kids Day at the facility Saturday, from 1-3 p.m.
The Brazil City fire and police departments will be at the event, along with the city's K9 unit and Sparky the firedog. Fingerprint ID checking will also be available.

The family of Blake Wharton, 11, has scheduled a benefit for the youth.
The event will take place Saturday, at the V.F.W. Post 1127, 303 S. Depot St., Brazil.
A spaghetti dinner has been scheduled for 4-8 p.m., in addition to a silent auction and Karaoke from 7-11 p.m.
Blake is attempting to raise enough money to attend the upcoming Junior National Leaders Conference in Washington, D.C., in September.
The Ashboro United Methodist Church, located on State Road 59 south of Brazil, will conduct its 34th Ice Cream Social Saturday, beginning at 5 p.m.
Barbecue sandwiches, hot dogs, nachos and cheese, pies and cakes will also be available for purchase.
The homemade ice cream is made with pasteurized eggs.

Time for Music
Local musician Mitch Chalos will join the Saturday night Country and Western band at the Clay County Senior Citizen's Center, 120 S. Franklin St., Brazil.
Doors open at 6 p.m., with music beginning at 7, and ending at 9.
As usual, sandwiches will be available for purchase along with Rosemary Price's famous strawberry pie.

A retired miners informational meeting for black lung will take Monday, from 10 a.m.-noon, at Corporate Square, 2901 E. Ohio Blvd., Suite 134, Terre Haute.
The Southwestern Indiana Respiratory Disease Program will lead the meeting.

The Clay County Historical Society will meet Monday in the lower level of the museum.
The board will meet at 6 p.m., and a membership meeting is set for 6:30 p.m., for the annual "inside picnic" dinner.
Meat will be provided. Those interested in attending are asked to bring covered dishes.
The guest speaker for the evening will be Licia A. Weber, director of the Coal Mine Information System with the Indiana Geological Survey, Bloomington, Ind.
Those interested in homeschooling are encouraged to attend the FISH (Families in Support of Homeschooling) homeschool group for its informational meeting Monday, at 7 p.m., at the North Meridian Street Church of Christ, 1524 N. Meridian St., Brazil.
