The following is information regarding area reunions as provided to The Brazil Times:

Stevenson Reunion

Descendants of Sarah Squires, James Stevenson and Ray Stevenson are welcome to the Stevenson reunion, set for noon, Saturday, at Harmony Park.

Vanatti Reunion

All Vanatti family members and relation are invited to a reunion Saturday, beginning at 1 p.m., at Mary and Charlie Risinger's river spot.

Those attending are asked to bring a covered dish, drinks, table service and lawn chairs.

Van Buren Class of 1956

The Van Buren High School class of 1956 will celebrate its 55th anniversary with a reunion Saturday.

The event for the Blue Devils will take place at the Center Point United Methodist Fellowship Hall.

The celebration will begin at 5:30 p.m., for fellowship with classmates, followed with dinner at 6.

Cost is $16 per person.

Church Reunion

The New Union Carolina Baptist Church will conduct its homecoming Sunday, at 1 p.m.

The church is located in Owen County on Atkinsonville Road, east of Jordan Village, which is southeast of Poland.

Those interested in attending are asked to bring a basket dinner, table service and drinks.

There will be old church history and pictures to view, plus an update on efforts to restore the church and cemetery. Plan now to attend and see the progress that has already taken place on the restoration projects.

Hofmann Family Reunion

The Hofmann Family Reunion will take place at 1 p.m., Sunday, at the Jackson Township Community Center.

A pitch-in dinner has been scheduled.

Van Buren Class of 1951

The Van Buren High School Class of 1951 will celebrate its 60th class reunion Saturday, Aug. 13, at the Carbon Baptist Church.

The celebration will begin at 10:30 a.m., with fellowship followed with a pitch-in meal. For more information, call Lois Baysinger at 446-1144 or Jim Withers at 443-0714, in order to know how many to prepare the main course of the meal for.
