Second suspect apprehended

Tuesday, August 9, 2011

Ethan Young
Officials with the Brazil City Police Department (BCPD) announced the arrest of a second man linked to a home break-in Aug. 4.

According to BCPD Chief Larry Pierce, officials with the Clay County Sheriff's Department went to a residence on State Road 59 just outside city limits late Monday to serve an arrest warrant for Ethan Young, 19, Brazil. Police believe Young is allegedly one of three men involved in the incident.

Young was taken into custody without incident and questioned about the break-in.

According to officials, he has been preliminarily charged with Burglary (a Class B felony), Aggravated Battery (a Class B felony) and Residential Entry (a Class D felony).

Young remains in custody at the Clay County Justice Center (CCJC) on a $25,000 bond, no 10 percent allowed.

According to officials, at approximately 4:33 a.m., Aug. 4, dispatchers received a 911 call from a resident in West Central Village.

The male resident said three white males allegedly broke into his back door and held a "chrome gun" to his head before beating him with a ball bat.

The victim identified two of the suspects and said the third suspect was wearing a mask.

Officials stated the suspects fled the scene before police arrived.

After a search of the area, BCPD Officer Jeff Stinson located one of the suspects, Derek Snapp, 25, Brazil, who was immediately taken into custody and transported to the CCJC.

Snapp was preliminarily charged with Burglary, Aggravated Battery and Residential Entry.

Officials said the third suspect, Ricky Anello, 20, Brazil, remains at-large and should be considered armed and dangerous.

Young wasnt even there, He is in a back brace from a dirtbike accident on july 4th. He compressed the T 12 vertebra ( which is a broken back) plus broke his arm and has a metal plate in his arm. He isnt even allowed to pick up nothing heavier than a coffe cup. So how in the world can he do what they say he did? Oh and by the way young had a doctors appt. on Wed. to see his trama doc. on his back and they refused to let him go or even take him.

Really I see him driving around town with the dirtbike in his truck all of the time, with the back brace on. He looked ok walking out of the store the other day carrying a case of pop and a few bags of food. So skycirrus, you as a family member or friend of mr young maybe tell him to let his public defender know that he has to see the doc and I'm sure he will get to go! Mr Young, You're welcome for the health care I will be paying for!

I find it funny how according to the comments nobody is ever guilty. There is always a friend or relative who has an alibi for the suspect.

The common denominator GOTOUT (oh, and congratulations on your freedom) is the rest of us live in the real world, not some fantasy world made up of "I'm innocent".

Try it sometime.
