The menu will include mashed potatoes, green beans, salad, dessert, and drink.
The cost is $8 for adults and $5 for children age 10 and under.
Staunton United Methodist Church
Our "Back-to-School Bingo" event is this Sunday Aug. 14, at 6 p.m.
Everyone in the Staunton area is invited to play bingo for school supply prizes.
We have stocked up, using the Clay Community Schools supply lists as our guides, and hope to help families who may be struggling to buy everything. There is no charge, and there will be free snacks and door prizes, as well as prizes for winning bingo games.
Sunday School is at 9:30 with Church Service following at 10:30. Scott Aselage is our Pastor and Glenna Simons is our pianist.
Remember that the Community Food Pantry is open in the church's basement from 3-5 p.m. on the last Wednesday afternoon of each month.
The next Food Pantry day will be Wednesday Aug. 31. Anyone in the Staunton area in need of help is welcome. We appreciate the support of all the churches, schools, civic organizations, and individuals who help make this needed outreach a success.
Staunton First Christian Church
Sunday School begins at 9:30 a.m., with worship service following at 10:30.

Children's Church and Wee Worship meet at 10:30 in the Educational Building.
Sunday evening service begins at 6 p.m. Wednesday evening Bible Study and Prayer Group meets at 7.
We will be hosting a special program on Wednesday Aug., 24 at 7:00 p.m. featuring Leonard Thompson, a missionary from India.
His presentation will attempt to help us better understand the Muslim religion.
The public is invited to attend.
If you would like to go to Ryan's for lunch on Monday Aug. 15, please meet at the church at 11 a.m.
The annual church picnic is set for Sunday Sept. 18, after morning worship service.
Please keep praying for everyone who is battling illness, as well as all the brave men and women of our military and their families.
Also remember in prayer all the folks in nursing homes and hospitals, and those who have lost loved ones.
Go out of your way to be kind to someone, and pray for everyone.
