Smoking debate continues
To the Editor:
This is in response to the letter from Gretchen Van Pelt, who thinks no one should be able to smoke anywhere.
First of all, I think it should be up to the business owner, whether or not they want you to smoke in their business. Why should there even be a vote?
If I were a business owner, I would be really mad about someone telling me how to run my business.
I used to tell my sister, if you don't like it, then don't sit next to me.
That's why in business, they have smoking and non-smoking sections.
So, if you don't like it, then don't sit next to it.
Also, you said smokers are a small minority. It doesn't matter. What makes non-smokers any better?
You say, since smokers are minority, why does anyone think that smokers should have all the rights? Who thinks that?
If smokers had all the rights, they would be able to smoke anywhere they wanted right now.
So the question is, what gives non-smokers all the rights?
It doesn't. It works both ways.
