Leslie W. Fritzinger, 69, Poland, passed away Aug. 13, 2011, at the Sullivan County Community Hospital.

He was born Feb. 26, 1942, in Owen County, and was the son of the late Louis "Short" Martin and Martha Laverne (Rubeck) Fritzinger.

He grew up in Jordan Village and graduated in 1960 from Cloverdale High School.

He was married to Judi Kay (Vinson) Fritzinger Aug. 22, 1960, and she survives.

He is also survived by daughter Karla Muncie and husband Mark, Brazil, brother Danny J., and wife Carolyn, Coatesville, and grandchildren Katelyn and Zachary Muncie, Brazil, nephew Damon Fritzinger and wife Deana, Coatesville, niece Mitzi Nauert and husband Dave, Bainbridge, aunt Jene Arney, Terre Haute, and uncle Oran Rubeck and wife Mary, and many cousins.

He worked at Allison's Plant No. 5, until his retirement in December 1991. In his free time, he loved playing with his grandchildren, who will miss him deeply.

Funeral services will take place Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2011, at 11 a.m., at the Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale.

Visitation will be Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2011, from 4-8 p.m., at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Zion Cemetery, Poland.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Billy Oren Fritzinger and several aunts and uncles.
