Northview tennis opens season with road victory

BLOOMFIELD -- The Northview tennis team opened the season with a 4-1 victory on the road at Bloomfield on Wednesday evening.

The Knights swept the doubles matches as Dillon Reynolds and Skyler Holifield teamed to take down Trenton Brinegar and Josh Wells, 6-2, 6-2. At No. 2 doubles, the Knights got a victory from the team of Alec Coughanowr and Devin Clark, who defeated Evan Fuller and Matthew Woods by a 6-0, 6-0 score.

In singles play, Cole Watts was a winner in the No. 2 slot by a 6-0, 6-2 score and Garrett Baysinger won 6-0, 6-2 over Conner Dowden. Bryce Britton dropped a hard fought, three-set match at No. 1 singles.
