Judge Needed

The Bowling Green Old Settlers Committee is currently looking for a male judge for its Little Miss and Little Mr. Contests.

The contest will take place Saturday, Aug. 27, 2011, beginning at 8:45 a.m.

Coffee Talk

The Rotary Club of Brazil will host its monthly Coffee Talk today, from 6-7 p.m., at the Coffee Grounds.

Guest Speaker

The Saline City Community Church, 1375 S. Saline Fourth, Center Point, will host "Challenging Evolution" today, at 7 p.m.

Guest speaker Floyd Coates will be on hand to discuss the following topics:

* Was there a big bang,

* Were there dinosaurs on the Ark,

* Is the Earth six thousands or six billion years old, and

* How many animals were on the Ark?

Pancakes!

An all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast will take place from 8 a.m.-.noon, Saturday.

The event is being sponsored by House of Hope.

The breakfast will include eggs and sausage.

A donation of $5 for all breakfasts served is encouraged.

In addition to the breakfast, a bake sale will also take place at Grace Chapel (Old Burger Dodge) on United States 40.

The Wesley Chapel Church Food Bank will be open Saturday, from 9 a.m.-noon.
