Judge Needed

The Bowling Green Old Settlers Committee is currently looking for a male judge for its Little Miss and Little Mr. Contests.

The contest will take place Saturday, Aug. 27, 2011, beginning at 8:45 a.m.

House of Hope Pancakes!

An all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast will take place from 8 a.m.-noon, today.

The event is being sponsored by House of Hope.

The breakfast will include eggs and sausage.

A donation of $5 for all breakfasts served is encouraged.

In addition to the breakfast, a bake sale will also take place at Grace Chapel (Old Burger Dodge) on United States 40.

Food Bank Open

The Wesley Chapel Church Food Bank will be open today, from 9 a.m.-noon.

Band Booster Fundraiser

The Northview High School Band Boosters will sponsor a fundraiser for the Marching Knights today.

An all-you-can-eat (and catch) pancake breakfast will run from 8-10 a.m., at the high school, 3150 W. State Road 340, Brazil.

Nationally known Chris Cakes will entertain those in attendance as they flip and serve their pancakes.

Tickets will cost $8 at the door. Children 2-under will be admitted free.

Ice Cream!

The annual Bee Ridge Church Ice Cream Social will take place today, from 4-7 p.m.

Along with homemade ice cream, hot dogs, barbeque sandwiches, chips, pies and cakes will be served.

There will be musical entertainment, children's games, door prizes and fellowship for all.

'Mud Mania'

Clay County's "Mud Mania," will take place today, at the Clay County 4-H Fairgrounds.

Gates open at 4:30 p.m., with the show beginning at 7.

General admission will be $7. A pit pass will cost $10 and cost per truck run is $20.

Sisters Antiques is having another free coffee tasting. If you missed the first one, now is your chance to stop in and taste several different coffees.Chris Weber from Rex Coffee Co. a division of Clabber Girl will be making coffee using different brewing methods and different flavors.
