NASHVILLE -- Northview's boys' tennis team got wins from some of its most experienced players and it carried over to a 3-2 team win for the Knights against WIC foe Brown County on Saturday.
Senior Dillon Reynolds and Skyler Holifield grinded out a 6-2, 4-6, 7-5 victory at No. 1 doubles and the duo of Alec Coughanowr and Devin Clark came through for a 6-3, 6-4 victory against the Eagles' Toby Kirts and Shane Franklin.
Brown County was able to earn both of its wins in singles play as Duncan Ricci edged past the Knights' Bryce Britton by a 6-1, 6-3 score and Jordan Rose captured the No. 2 match against Cole Watts, 6-7 (3), 6-2, 6-2. However, Gaddis Baysinger came through to score the No. 3 singles win by a 2-6, 7-6 (1), 6-2 score against Evan Rose.
The Knights are back in action on Tuesday at Danville at 5 p.m.
