He was born Nov. 12, 1972, in Brazil, the son of Ronald L. "Pops" Pierce Sr., and Martha "Sue" (Sawyer) Pierce.
Ron graduated from Northview High School with the class of 1993.
He had worked for Excel Graphics and Great Dane Trailer's until becoming ill with cancer in 2008. Ron also worked as a mechanic and auto body repairman with his best friend Gerald Waldon.
Ron married Anette Bruer Oct. 1, 1999.
Ron had many hobbies, including riding his Harley, building model cars and trucks, drawing and collecting Hot Wheels.
He was preceded in death by his son Ronald L. "Tray" Pierce III, sister Michelle Lee Pierce, paternal grandparents Donald and Bessie Pierce, and maternal grandparents William and Ruth Sawyer.
He is survived by his wife Anette Pierce, children Lacey Bruer, Ariel Pierce, Ryan Rogers and Dakota Pierce, parents Ronald L. and Sue Pierce, as well as many aunts, uncles, extended family members and friends.
Services will be at Christ Community Church on north State Road 59, Brazil, Thursday, Aug. 25, 2011, at 11 a.m., with Pastor Rich Laskowski officiating. Burial will follow at Bee Ridge Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the church Wednesday from 4-8 p.m., and again Thursday, from 10 a.m., until time of services.
Visitors are encouraged to wear casual attire and join Ron's family in riding their Harley's in celebration of Ron's life.
Friends are encouraged to make donations to Ron's family in lieu of flowers.
