April Jean Schultz-Dunbar, 31, Terre Haute, passed away Sunday, Aug. 21, 2011 at Arcola, Ill., from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
She was born Aug. 30, 1979, in Evansville to Michael Lee Schultz and Beth Bridgewater Schultz.
Survivors include two daughters, Lashe' Dunbar and Lexus Dunbar, her mother, Beth Hyde, her father, Michael Lee Schultz, aunts and uncles, Debbie and Kris Tourtillot, Teresa Phelps, Bob Schultz Jr., Harriet Bishop and Lelia and Mike May, nieces, Jazmine Allen and Ally Little, numerous cousins, very close special friends and their children including Bryson and Aliyah.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Candace LeeAnn Schultz, her step father, Stanley Hyde, and maternal grandparents, Harry and Norma Bridgewater.
April was a cancer survivor, and she had been in remission for seven years from Berkets Lymphoma. She was active in several cancer associations.
She loved softball, four wheeling, her dogs Indi and Ily and most of all her children, special niece and family. She was a great daughter, mother and friend.
Her last Facebook status on Saturday, Aug. 20, 2011 said: "Life is about laughing and living in good and bad times. Getting through whatever comes our way and looking back and smiling."
Services will be 7 p.m. Friday at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 N. Third Street, West Terre Haute. Cremation has been scheduled. Visitation will be 3 p.m. until service time Friday.
